This community event pays tribute to the lasting impact of Roderick Haig-Brown and Ann Elmore, whose remarkable contributions span environmental conservation, literature, community service, and fishing. The festival endeavours to enrich guests’ understanding of and engagement with these themes, fostering a deeper connection to the community through new knowledge and immersive experiences.
Visitors to the festival can do a variety of engaging activities including:

- Immersing themselves in readings from Roderick Haig-Brown’s conservation works in the study of the house.

Festival Highlights:
An artisan market with localy crafted one-of-a-kind delights, fly tying demonstrations, try your hand at casting a rod, textile demonstrations by Midnight Shuttles, an art station for families, Greenways Land Trust will showcase their initiatives, readings of select passages from Roderick Haig-Brown, Campbell River and North Island Transition Society and much more!
Live music will add to the atmosphere.
